10+ Ways to Create Your Spa Bathroom
When creating a dream bathroom, one often thinks of a spa experience, which leads to daydreams of designing the bathroom into a spa. What better way to elevate your bathroom into a spa in a few simple steps?
Judith Hanson Lasater stated, “Taking time out each day to relax and renew is essential to living well.” Is there a better way to relax and renew at the end of a day than in the bathtub? Or a luxurious shower. Therefore, taking the time to pick, choose, and eliminate (to curate) bathroom materials can pamper our body, mind, and soul. The elements of a spa bathroom that help to relax and renew are very personal. The ideas listed below are general ways to elevate them to your taste. Personally, I don’t like a terry robe but love a silk kimono. That being said, use these ideas to create your space. I have also included some bathroom photos showing how to add these ideas to your bath.
10 ways to create a spa bathroom.
- Upgrade your bath towels to a larger and more luxurious feel. Or pick out bath sheets.
- Add natural materials – bamboo mats, wood stools, raffia/natural fiber baskets, and sea sponges.
- Gather glass bottles and containers that coordinate to keep your bath products.
- Infuse nature with plants, herbs, and flowers.
- Bring in beautifully scented candles and reed diffusers.
- Showcase your towels by rolling on tri-folding
- Organize and purge beauty supplies – keep only what is necessary.
- Use an expandable bathtub tray, bath pillow.
- Wrap yourself with a beautiful robe. The kind that you love, plush terry, smooth silk kimono, or crisp cotton
- Add luxury with heated towel racks.
- Elevate the materials in your bathroom – marble, soaking tubs, dual shower heads, rain shower heads…
