Spring is a time of Renewal, Rebirth and Refreshing. Why not start with refreshing the kitchen?
Spring is a time to clean out the cobwebs inside and outside of your home. Subsequently leads to dreams about BBQs and porch parties. With that idea let’s look to see about refreshing the kitchen.
Please take a look around your kitchen. Then ask yourself, “Is there something you would like to change?”
- Whole Kitchen
- Cabinets
- Countertops
- An appliance
- Paint the walls
- Organization
I understand wanting change. With our new old house, I would like to change the whole kitchen. But that would involve a major renovation that includes taking out a wall, which is structural so major work. That will be done at a later time – I am going to dream about it a bit more. So I am going to do a freshen-up with new paint, lighting and cabinet hardware. But I thought I would share some new design trends that help to freshen up the room. Please remember with these new trends…
The most important thing when working with trends is that you must really love the trend. Trends come and go. And it is never fun to be living with a design decision that you don’t love. The second thing to remember when adding a trend to your home is that some are timeless. Often a timeless design just circles back around as a “New” trend because it is being introduced to a new generation of consumers. The last thing is to keep in mind resale when adding trends. Some trends are not for everyone. If you want more ideas check out my Pinterest Board on 2021 Trends.
